Description: Imogen is practicing her tennis skills outside Mr Wakefield’s house. She is so bad she keeps knocking the ball against the window. He bangs on the window and tells her to stop and play somewhere else. Defiant as always Imogen carries on. The next time she hits the window, Mr Wakefield shocks Imogen when he rushes out of his house, grabs her arm and drags her into his living room. Straight over his knee she goes, her tennis skirt is pulled up and he slaps her again and again. Her plimsolled feet are kicking in the air in surprise and she looks even more shocked as he pushes her over the armchair and proceeds to whip her with his riding crop. Down come the gym knickers; this is just so horrifying for Imogen! Off he goes to fetch another crop – a hard, shiny black leather one which smacks and stings. If this doesn’t teach her a lesson, nothing will! She is quite dignified to say she is in so much pain. The strokes are so hard that you will wince at the sound. Mr Wakefield stops and starts, intermittently giving it a few slaps with his hands to tease her into thinking the pain is over but then he starts again. Mr Wakefield leaves her for a moment, a bag is unzipped and another torturous implement is brought. He swishes the cane he has picked up. Imogen whimpers loudly at the sound, cowering into the chair. “I’m going to give you twelve of these!” he barks.
