Description: Fletcher and Carlton have been summoned to the Miss Iceni's office. The Prison Governess is not impressed to hear they have been involved in a fight at the prison dining hall, which they allegedly started. I think Flecther is being influenced by the more trouble-making Carlton, a known brawler. I think his friend Fletcher, the thief, is learning some bad habits and poor impulse control from his fellow inmate. I tear off a few strips, scolding and remonstrating with them, however they both give me bad attitude, and don't seem to be taking the threat of punishment seriously. Theur attitude will soon change when they see the fearsome prison birch I have ready for them. Each witnessed by the other, I make them take turns at being over the pommel , with their pants down, and then I thrash their bare bottoms with the sprig birch. First in measured, counted strokes hone, given their continued lack of respect and cocky attitude, I give them each a taste of a hard, fast birching that takes their breath away. These boys must learn that on Miss Iceni's watch I will not have fighting and trouble-making. Bad behaviour is not tolerated inside, and they will find themselves back in my study for further punishment if they do not learn the error of their ways. They are here, after all, to be corrected and sent back into society reformed and chastened. I give them both a hard birching- a disciplinary experience neither of them has had before, and by the time I have finished with them, they leave my study feeling sorry and sore. Zero tolerance, 100% result.
